Grassroots to Greatness

PROJECT
Female Rights | Gender Equality | Sport

Grassroots to Greatness follows the inspiring journey of five Malawian women breaking sports and societal barriers in football, while drawing a powerful parallel to the endangered pangolin, both fighting for survival, recognition, and equality in a world where they face prejudice and marginalization.

How does the sport serve as a tool for personal growth, self-expression, and social change?

  2. What are the challenges women face in football?
How do cultural and social values influence the development of players’ identities, on and off the field?
